Terms of Service

Last updated 5 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Recurback. By linking a Stripe account, you accept them.

What Recurback does

Recurback reviews the unpaid invoices and lapsed subscriptions in the Stripe account you connect, and — when you instruct it to — attempts to collect them. It acts as your agent on your own account. It is a tool you direct, not a collections agency, a lender, or a payment processor.

Your account and your authority

You must be authorised to act for the business whose Stripe account you connect, and to charge the customers in it. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done through it.

You may revoke our access at any moment from inside Stripe. Doing so stops all activity immediately.

You control what happens

Nothing is charged to anyone until you switch the service out of its read-only mode yourself. The limits you set — which invoices qualify, how old they may be, how often a customer may be approached, how many invoices a run may touch — are yours to choose, and we follow them.

You remain responsible for your relationship with your customers, including the mandates and agreements you rely on to charge them, and for any refund, dispute, or complaint that follows. We do not decide whether a charge is owed; you do, by connecting the account and setting the rules.

Money

Every payment settles inside your own Stripe account on your own payout schedule. We never take custody of your funds and never deduct our fee from your recoveries. Stripe's own processing fees apply to these payments exactly as they do to any other.

Plans and billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance and are based on how much you recover in a calendar month:

  • Freeno chargeup to $500 recovered per month
  • Starter$49 per monthup to $2,500 recovered per month
  • Growth$99 per monthup to $10,000 recovered per month
  • Scale$199 per monthno recovery limit

When a month's recoveries pass your plan's limit, runs stop until you move up a plan. Cancel whenever you like; your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not refund part-months.

If your own payment to us fails, access pauses until it succeeds. We will give you notice before changing prices.

What we do not promise

We cannot promise that any particular invoice will be collected, or that any amount will be recovered. Whether a payment succeeds is decided by your customer's bank, not by us. Figures we publish describe past results and are not a forecast of yours.

The service is provided as it stands. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Acceptable use

You may not use Recurback to:

  • charge anyone who has not agreed to be charged, or who has withdrawn that agreement
  • pursue debts you have sold, written off in a way that ends your right to collect, or been ordered to stop collecting
  • work an account you are not authorised to act for, or evade limits set by Stripe or by a card network
  • attempt to disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the service

We may suspend an account that does any of these, or that puts our Stripe relationship at risk.

Liability

Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You are responsible for charges made under your own instructions, including where they lead to disputes or chargebacks against your Stripe account.

Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time. We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you breach these terms or use the service unlawfully. On termination your stored credential is deleted at once, and the rest of your data is handled as described in our privacy notice.

Changes and contact

We will tell account holders before these terms change in any material way. Questions go to support@recurback.com.
